Raghav Juyal, known for his vibrant on-screen presence, recently delved into the psychological effects of his portrayal as Shafiq, a menacing antagonist in the action-thriller Yudhra. In a conversation with Mid-Day, the actor shared how stepping into such a dark and intense role challenged him on multiple levels. “Portraying such a dark and intense character in Yudhra was a unique experience for me. I had to push my own boundaries," Raghav explained, emphasizing the emotional toll it took on him.

Family concerned about changes After filming wrapped up, Raghav noticed that the role had significantly affected his mental state. He found himself needing to take a break and return home to recover. “This process was intense and, at times, unsettling. After the shoot, I felt an overwhelming need to disconnect and heal," he revealed. His family was quick to notice changes in his behavior, which led them to express concern. Raghav admitted that this experience made him realize just how deeply he had immersed himself in the character. First major antagonistic role Though Raghav has played antagonistic roles before, such as in Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's Kill, this was a new level of intensity for the actor. “This was the first time I attempted a role like this, even though I had done Kill," he said. "It was a challenging but rewarding experience.” Raghav earned significant praise for his performance in Kill, which grossed over Rs 20 crore at the box office, cementing his versatility as an actor.

Yudhra marks the first solo lead film for Siddhant Chaturvedi. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, and Raj Arjun. The action-thriller has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Sudha Anukta.
