Parineeti Chopra recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her experience of filming Amar Singh Chamkila. The biographical drama, which premiered on Netflix in April 2024, saw Parineeti playing the role of Amarjot Kaur alongside Diljit Dosanjh as Amar Singh Chamkila. On September 30, 2024, Parineeti shared an emotional post on her Instagram, tagging Diljit and director Imtiaz Ali, jokingly asking, “Can we shoot the film again?”
A heartfelt throwback
In her Instagram Story, Parineeti posted old footage of the real-life Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur performing the song "Pehle Lalkare" live. The clip, steeped in nostalgia, moved the actress to ask her co-star and director if they could relive the filming process. Imtiaz Ali, clearly amused, reshared Parineeti’s post with laughing emojis, showcasing their light-hearted camaraderie.
Reflections on a dream project
Parineeti had earlier shared her gratitude for the Amar Singh Chamkila team in a heartfelt note on Instagram. She praised Imtiaz Ali’s visionary direction and Diljit Dosanjh’s support as a co-star, calling it a dream project where she got to combine her two passions—acting and singing. “Shooting Chamkila topped any other film experience because I got to sing and act, two things I’m most passionate about,” Parineeti wrote.
