Shah Rukh Khan wishes Rajinikanth on his 73rd birthday: “May you keep entertaining us for many years to come”

Superstar Rajinikanth, aka Shivaji Rao Gaikwad, celebrated his 73rd birthday on December 12, 2023. Fans, friends and industry colleagues took to social media to convey their heartfelt wishes for the legend. Shah Rukh Khan also joined in to extend heartwarming wishes for the actor.

Taking to his X account, formerly known as Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan shared a still from his film Chennai Express where he was posing next to a life-sized photo of Rajinikanth shown during the ‘Lungi Dance’ song. SRK’s post read, “Here’s wishing the inimitable legend – @rajinikanth Thalaiva a very happy birthday!Big hugs from me (just one of the many “all the Rajini fans!”)…Lots of love sir and may you keep entertaining us for many years to come!!!”

Meanwhile, with Dunki set to release next week, the excitement amongst the fans is at an all-time high. This marks Shah Rukh Khan’s third release this year after Pathaan and Jawan. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover.

A JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, Dunki is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. Written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, the film is slated to release worldwide on December 21, 2023.
