Pratik Gandhi who shot to fame in Hansal Mehta’s game-changing series Scam happily agreed to be part of Mehta’s new OTT sensation Scoop on Netflix, albeit for a fleeting shot. Elaborating on Pratik’s cameo Hansal explains, “We were shooting in Kandivali (Mumbai) at a location which is the protagonist Jagruti’s Mama (maternal uncle)’s shop. I called Pratik who lives in the lane behind to drop by.”
Pratik lost no time in arriving at the location. Recalls Hansal, “He came cycling to the location. We chatted. Out of the blue I asked him if he’d do a small passing shot. He agreed without blinking an eyelid. Up to the audience to find him! It’s a small passing shot… must have my lucky mascot somewhere.”
When one insisted on knowing where one sees Pratik in Scoop Hansal let out, “He’s there in the scene where the Mama (Deven Bhojani) is distributing pamphlets in episode 6.”
