Amitabh Bachchan shares why he goes out to meet fans bare feet every Sunday; says, “You go to the temple bare feet”

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, known for his legendary acting prowess and an unparalleled fan following, recently shared his thoughts on his social media account, expressing why he goes to meet his fans bare feet every Sunday.

On Tuesday, Bachchan took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself greeting fans. Sharing the picture, he wrote in caption, “They ask me somewhat contentiously .. ‘who goes out to meet fans bare feet’ ? I tell them : ‘I do .. you go to the temple bare feet .. my well wishers on Sunday are my temple’ !! ‘You got a problem with that !!!”

Taking to his blog, he soke about comfort. Bachchan wrote, “Comfort be the elements of use in these times of uncared for attitudes , breaking away from any tradition that could have been imposed .. Shoes .. The comfort of the ‘sneakers’ or whatever else they may be called .. the nikes, the other brands , all .. now the formal wear irrespective .. that black patent leather, that polished bright , whatever , has disappeared .. the white bordered comfort wear be the IT .. !”

He further added, “Now the entire World is comforted by jeans and sneakers .. and the ladies with the same attire - even tights - for ease of movement at work .. Oh ! this is a lovely World .. !!! COVER THY MODESTY .. WITH PRIDE .. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS ..”

On the work front, Bachchan was last seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai last year, which also starred Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa and Parineeti Chopra. He has Project K helmed by Nag Ashwin. It's a sci-fi film that also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. The film is simultaneously being shot in Hindi and Telugu. Bachchan will also soon feature in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84.
