John Abraham drops MAJOR hint at a possible reunion with Akshay Kumar; says “We are having conversations”

Bollywood actor John Abraham has expressed his interest in returning to comedy and hinted at a possible collaboration with his longtime co-star Akshay Kumar. In a conversation with PTI, John shared his desire to explore the comedy genre once again, recalling the success of their hit film Garam Masala.

“I’m exploring doing something funny. You need to make people laugh and enjoy, not just without any meaning but to get something out of it. For instance, Garam Masala was so special, and films like that make a difference. So, I'm looking out for scripts, I'm looking out to do something funny,” John said.

The duo, known for their impeccable comic timing and on-screen chemistry, have delivered several box office hits, including Garam Masala, Desi Boyz, and Housefull 2. Their camaraderie has always been a highlight for fans, who have been requesting the duo for a reunion. Addressing the same, John revealed that discussions are underway. “We are having conversations; Akshay and I are having conversations. It will be a surprise if something happens. But we're looking at an excuse to work together again because Akshay and I feed off each other's energy. So, I'm looking for an excuse to work with him again soon,” he added.

With Abraham actively seeking scripts in the comedy genre and Akshay Kumar continuing his streak of entertaining films, their reunion could bring back the magic of their past collaborations. Adding further, the actor has also expressed his desire to reunite with The Diplomat filmmaker Shivam Nair, insisting that he has a keen eye for comedy. John’s statement has ignited excitement among fans eager to see the duo return to the big screen.

Currently, John is focused on the release of his production The Diplomat which hit cinemas on March 14. Inspired by true events, the actor plays the leading man in this dramatic thriller that stars him in a character based on Indian diplomat J.P. Singh.
