Manoj Bajpayee, a dedicated family man and critically acclaimed actor, recently expressed his excitement about the potential return of his wife Shabana Raza to acting. Currently promoting his upcoming film Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, Manoj spoke openly about his wife's career hiatus and their ideal collaboration scenario.
Shabana Raza, known for her work in films like Kareeb (1998) and Fiza (2000), took a break from acting after marrying Manoj Bajpayee. However, both actors have spoken about her desire to return to the big screen.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Manoj revealed, "I would love to work with my wife Shabana provided the script comes from outside, and I don’t have to produce it. As much as I know her, I know she has a lot of self-respect as an actor." He further stated his eagerness to share the screen with her, saying, "We're both excited about a film that marks her comeback."
Shabana Raza is currently sifting through potential projects, searching for the perfect role to mark her return. "Whenever that happens, she will be back in the cinema," shared Manoj.
Speaking of his upcoming project, Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, Manoj asserted, “Whenever you do the second instalment, you have to revisit the old season as you grow as a person and actor. But there are some basic elements that you have done. You should not leave that as it is the crux of the character. Try to remind myself of what I have done and what I should do now.”
Manoj Bajpayee will return as ACP Avinash Verma, while Prachi Desai will reprise her role as Inspector Sanjana. Produced by Zee Studios and Candid Creations, Silence 2: Night Owl Bar Shootout will premiere April 16 on ZEE5.
