Parineeti Chopra will be seen in one-of-a-kind drama in Amar Singh Chamkila, which is a biopic on the 70s Punjabi singer by the same name. The film traces the rise and later, the murder of the musician who created history in North India with his music. With Diljit Dosanjh playing the titular character, Parineeti will be seen as his wife Amarjot in the Netflix film. Sharing her experience of working with the team which also includes Imtiaz Ali and A R Rahman, Parineeti took to social media to express her gratitude.
In her recent post shared on her Instagram feed, Parineeti Chopra posted several BTS moments from her film Amar Singh Chamkila which saw some unseen photos of her with co-star Diljit Dosanjh, director of the film, Imtiaz Ali, among others. Also penning a note of gratitude, she opened up about the great qualities of the team she worked with and said, “I’m immensely thankful for Chamkila @imtiazaliofficial sir, your direction was unparalleled; you truly led the ship with finesse. Your vision and passion set a new standard.” She continued, “@diljitdosanjh, you were the perfect co-star, making every moment on set enjoyable and effortless. @arrahman sir, being musically directed by you - a thing of dreams. And the entire team who made this film” and also added twin heart emojis.
She went on to add, “Shooting this film has topped any other film experience because I got to sing and act - 2 things I’m the most passionate about, so thank you” and concluded it with folding hands and heart emojis.
