Tiger Shroff made his acting debut in the 2014 film Heropanti and now makes his singing debut in a feature film with Heropanti 2’s track ‘Miss Hairan’. The track was released on Friday at an event in Mumbai. Lead actors Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria also graced the event to launch the song. While Tiger has previously released his singles, this is the first song for a movie. He also revealed that he started taking formal singing lessons during the lockdown.
During the song launch event, Tiger was asked by the press about his singing aspirations. Talking about the same, he said, "I was a bathroom singer and thought that I was singing well. So I thought why not take it seriously. It's fun, it's a mood lifter. I just wanted to start it as a hobby. Michael Jackson is an inspiration for me. One of my goals in life was to perform on stage and sing and dance to my own songs. This was my goal regarding singing."
"During the lockdown, I took zoom classes with a singer by the name of Sussanne D'Mello. She is a great singer and teacher and has also sung several songs in Bollywood. I got lucky with a great teacher and I love singing. I admire singers like her (points at his co-star Tara Sutaria), I admire singers like Michael Jackson and all the talented singers we have in our industry. Music is a big part of our industry. SO I thought why not get a little involved. I often get injured while doing action, so I thought why not sing and not get hurt for a change," he added.
Meanwhile, Heropanti 2 marks the third collaboration between Tiger Shroff, director Ahmed Khan, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala after Baaghi 2 and 3 as they look to push the envelope and set a new benchmark with the film.
Written by Rajat Arora and music by A R Rahman, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan, who also directed Tiger’s last release Baaghi 3. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on 29th April 2022 on the auspicious occasion of Eid.
