#2021Recap: 11 most EMBARRASSING scenes and dialogues in Bollywood films this year

https://ift.tt/3t1irtr

Every year, we come across films that make us cringe from start to finish or have particular sequences or dialogues that make us want to bury our heads in shame. Bollywood Hungama, in this special feature, collates a list of 11 such scenes and one-liners in Hindi films in 2021 that we felt were highly embarrassing.

#2021Recap: 11 most EMBARRASSING scenes and dialogues in Bollywood films this year

1. Hello Charlie

This comic fare had some genuinely LOL-worthy moments. But the climax was anything but funny. On top of that, a gag was blatantly copied from a comic moment in Andaz Apna Apna. It was sad to see a film, produced by the reputed Excel Entertainment, allowing such plagiarism in the first place.

2. Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai

We give full marks to Jackie Shroff for being a sport and cross-dressing for the scene. But it made no sense and was forced in the film for cheap laughs.

3. Haseen Dillruba

The violent climax chopped off not just Vikrant Massey’s hand but also the logic from the script.

4. Hungama 2

This film barely made us laugh and was irritating from the word ‘Go’. And the scene where Meezaan Jafri forced himself upon Pranitha Subhash was just too much.

5. Bhuj: The Pride of India

Sanjay Dutt single-handedly attacked some 100 gun-wielding Pakistani soldiers and killed them all. We thought he might die fighting them. Instead, the rest of them die and he was the last man standing. On the other hand, poor Sharad Kelkar faced less than half of the enemy soldiers and he is the one who was killed.

6. Shiddat

This film started on a great note. Then came the scene where harassment was normalized as Sunny Kaushal not only clicked Radhika Madan’s picture without consent but even posted it on social media as a challenge. As revenge, Radhika and her sidekick entered the men’s locker room and stripped all the men present off their towels. Most of them had nothing to do with Radhika and yet, they had to bear the brunt.

7. Hum Do Hamare Do

The pre-climax was when Rajkummar Rao’s game gets up and Kriti Sanon’s family find out that Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah were not his real parents. Instead of being ashamed, he blasted Kriti’s father Manu Rishi Chadha and blamed society for lying to Kriti about his fake parents.

8. Bunty Aur Babli 2

The second half of this film was all over the place. The beachside scene could have been so funnier had the writing been even mildly in place.

9. Satyameva Jayate 2

We were prepared for the fact that there would be many over-the-top moments in Satyameva Jayate 2. However, we shook our heads in disbelief in the end when the spirit of John Abraham appeared to help his sons in stopping the chopper.

10. Atrangi Re

After the shocking twist at the interval point, the second half of this film got unconvincing as the whole college teamed up with Dhanush in hiding from Sara Ali Khan that Akshay Kumar didn’t exist. The makers don’t stop there. Even strangers were made to nod to this arrangement in the Taj Mahal scene. That all of them were paid Rs. 500 each makes you question how rich is Dhanush and his friend circle.

11. 83

This was an exceptional film but Ranveer Singh’s speech on the bus was unimaginative. There was a great scope of humour here but the makers let go of the opportunity.
