Embarking on the journey of acting and stardom with Vicky Donor, Yami Gautam is celebrating 9 glorious years in the film industry today. Taking a leap with an unconventional script and proving her acting mettle in her first outing itself, the self-made actress became a household name in no time. The actress started from television and went on to be a part of 5 films all in different languages before entering the Hindi Film Industry. From essaying a powerful role of an Intelligent Officer, Pallavi in the biggest hit of 2019 Uri - The Surgical Strike to playing a visually impaired character in Kaabil, she has given some amazing performances.

Sharing her excitement on completing 9 years in the business, the actress said, "The feeling is surreal and it can't really be articulated in words. It was an incredible journey. I have had the best of opportunities to work with some phenomenal directors, actors and of being a part of some amazing projects. It was a dream to tell stories that I believe, to entertain people, and I just wish to continue doing that."

Yami has as many as 8 releases lined up for the year. Immediately, after wrapping Dasvi starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur, Yami hoped on to the set of her next thriller flick, A Thursday directed by Behzad Khambata.

After keeping extremely busy juggling multiple projects simultaneously, the actress is now at her Chandigarh home to spend some time with her family. Meanwhile, her other upcoming films include Bhoot Police with Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The actress also has Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Lapata in the pipeline.
